This young woman's work is inspiring. Art is where we live, it transcends all barriers between people. It tells the truth that all of us share a common humanity despite any outward appearances of difference. In the moment of an artist's specific experience, common human characteristics and experience show forth.

It saddens me that the young director has not been given financial support and that the greater community is not offering her space to rehearse and perform. May she find the strength to continue this work with those talented children in spite of it. May the children continue to find the emotional support and learn new skills that enrich their lives and allow them to make contributions beyond their years to the good of their community.
