This article recalls to me the review by Kate Daniels in the Economy section on April 16th of Riane Eisler's "The Real Wealth of Nations: Creativing a Caring Economy."

I would also put forth along these lines, for anyone interested in these issues, US economist Nancy Folbre's work called "The Invisible Heart", which deals with economics and family matters.

All of this, too reminds me that Virginia Woolf nearly a century ago was writing about the need for women to have the power of money in order for the world to be a better place for everyone.
