Torture Claim is Filed Against Rumsfeld in France

by Doreen Carvajal, International Herald Tribune, France - A group of U.S. and European human rights organizations is pursuing a legal complaint against Donald Rumsfeld in a Paris court that accuses the former defense secretary of being responsible for torture.

A great concern I have is that the Bush regime invaded and now occupies Iraq when that country had nothing to do with attacks on the US nor did it pose any threat to the US. Those responsible, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Rove, et al, should be held accountable. By rights the US Congress should hold impeachment hearings, but whether or not it does, other world bodies can and should take action in this matter. This kind of aggression should not go unchecked.
